Deadlock receives a major gameplay overhaul with a significant patch from Valve. The core change is a complete map redesign, shifting from a four-lane to a three-lane structure, bringing it more in line with standard MOBA conventions.

This structural alteration dramatically impacts strategic gameplay. The previous "1 vs 2" lane distribution is obsolete; now, players must adapt to a likely "2 vs 2" arrangement per lane, requiring significant adjustments to resource management and team compositions. The positions of neutral camps, power-ups, and other map features have also been re-evaluated and repositioned. To aid players in adapting to the new layout, a dedicated "map exploration" mode has been introduced, allowing players to freely navigate the map without enemy or allied interference.

Further updates include a revised Soul Orb system, allowing soul collection without directly securing the kill, leading to faster resource acquisition. Soul effect adjustments, such as reduced air-hover times, have also been implemented.

This patch also features refinements to sprint mechanics, character balancing, and enhanced performance. It adds support for advanced technologies like DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0, addressing numerous bugs and improving overall game stability. Consult the official patch notes for a comprehensive list of all modifications.
