Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Adds Fan-Favorite Modes
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 receives classic game modes and map updates this week, addressing post-launch issues. The highly anticipated "Infected" mode arrives tomorrow, followed by the iconic "Nuketown" map on Friday, November 1st.
Infected and Nuketown Enhance Black Ops 6
Treyarch, the developer, confirmed the additions via Twitter (X), promising a continued stream of post-launch content. "Infected," a popular party mode where players battle zombie-like opponents, debuts first. Nuketown, a beloved map from 2010's Black Ops, follows, offering a nostalgic 1950s nuclear test site setting for intense multiplayer action. Activision previously confirmed a plan for regular post-launch updates, expanding Black Ops 6's already robust 11 standard multiplayer modes.
Addressing Player Feedback: Black Ops 6 Update
A recent update addressed several player-reported bugs across multiplayer and Zombies modes. Improvements include boosted XP rates in key game modes (Team Deathmatch, Control, Search & Destroy, and Gunfight) and various stability fixes. Activision stated that XP rates are continuously monitored for balance. Specific fixes include:
- Global: Resolved loadout highlighting, Bailey operator animation, and the "Mute Licensed Music" setting.
- Maps (Babylon, Lowtown, Red Card): Closed exploits allowing players to exit the map boundaries and improved overall stability.
- Multiplayer: Addressed matchmaking issues, private match forfeits, and the persistent Dreadnought missile sound.
Outstanding issues, such as a fatal bug in Search & Destroy, are slated for future patches. Despite these initial hiccups, Black Ops 6 is considered by many to be a top-tier Call of Duty title, particularly praising its enjoyable campaign. For a comprehensive review, see the link below!
