inZOI, South Korean Sims-Like, Pushed to March 2025 Release
Krafton's highly anticipated life simulator, inZOI, has been delayed until March 28, 2025, to ensure a robust and polished launch. This decision, announced by director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim on the game's Discord server, prioritizes delivering a complete and fulfilling player experience.
The delay is a direct result of positive feedback received during character creator demos and playtests. Kjun emphasized the team's commitment to meeting player expectations, likening the development process to the lengthy nurturing required to raise a child. This careful approach aims to avoid releasing an unfinished product, a lesson learned from the cancellation of Life By You earlier this year.
The impact of this delay is significant. The inZOI character studio alone saw a peak of 18,657 concurrent players during its brief availability on Steam before its removal on August 25, 2024 (data from SteamDB). This demonstrates substantial player interest and underscores Krafton's dedication to delivering a high-quality game.
inZOI, initially revealed in Korea in 2023, aspires to be a leading contender in the life simulation genre, offering unparalleled customization and realistic visuals. The March 2025 release date positions inZOI in competition with Paralives, another anticipated life simulator slated for release next year.
While the extended wait may be frustrating for fans, Krafton promises that the resulting game will be a richly immersive experience, offering countless hours of gameplay for years to come. From managing work stress to enjoying virtual karaoke, inZOI aims to carve its own niche within the life simulation landscape, exceeding expectations as more than just a Sims alternative.
