'Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Change Reversed'

Author : Sophia Feb 04,2025

This update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 addresses player feedback and implements several key changes and bug fixes. A significant reversal involves the controversial Zombies Directed Mode adjustments from the January 3rd patch. The community's negative response to the extended round times and zombie spawn delays led Treyarch to revert these changes, restoring the spawn delay to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds.

The update also includes:

  • Citadelle des Morts Map Fixes: Numerous bug fixes address issues impacting quest progression, visual effects, and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment and Elemental Swords.

  • Shadow Rift Ammo Mod Buffs: Significant buffs to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod have been implemented, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment). The cooldown timer has also been reduced by 25%.

  • Global Improvements: General fixes address issues with Maya's "Joyride" Operator Skin visibility, the Events tab UI, and in-game audio for Event milestone banners.

  • Multiplayer Enhancements: The Red Light, Green Light mode now awards increased XP from match bonuses, and various stability fixes have been added.

  • Zombies Mode Adjustments: In addition to the Directed Mode changes, the update addresses a bug preventing safe use of the Shock Charge tactic in Terminus (fix pending further testing).

The January 9th patch notes highlight Treyarch's commitment to player experience. They acknowledge that not all initial changes are perfect and that some fixes require more time and testing. Further bug fixes, including the Vermin double-attack bug, are slated for the Season 2 update on January 28th. The Dead Light, Green Light LTM has also received adjustments, expanding map selection and increasing the round cap.
