Dune: Awakening Nears 100K Peak Players on Steam Pre-Launch

Dune: Awakening has yet to fully launch, but it has already set a concurrent player record on Steam, nearing 100,000 users.

Official Steam statistics show that on June 5, Dune: Awakening reached a peak of 93,634 concurrent players. This milestone occurred during the "head start" period—effectively an early access phase—available only to players who purchased either the $69.99 Deluxe Edition or the $89.99 Ultimate Edition. The game officially launches for all other players on June 10, 2025.

While concurrent player count isn't the sole measure of a game's success, it serves as a useful initial indicator. It's worth noting that this figure does not include players on other platforms, as Dune: Awakening is not yet available on PS5 or Xbox Series consoles; releases for those platforms are planned for a later date.

Historically, player numbers often peak on weekends, suggesting Dune: Awakening could reach an even higher concurrent player count before its official June 10 launch. Among the thousands of titles on Steam, it currently ranks 195th on the all-time peak concurrent players chart—an impressive achievement for a game not yet fully released.
