Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa's Recent Statement

During a recent investor Q&A, President Furukawa confirmed Nintendo's current lack of plans to integrate generative AI into its games. He cited IP rights as the primary concern. While acknowledging AI's long-standing role in game development (especially in NPC behavior), he distinguished between traditional AI and the newer generative AI, capable of creating original content.

Furukawa highlighted the creative potential of generative AI but emphasized the potential IP infringement risks. This cautious approach contrasts with the more enthusiastic adoption of generative AI by other gaming companies.
