Wuthering Waves Debuts 5-Star Heroes in Update 2.1

Wuthering Waves has officially announced that Phoebe and Brant will join the playable roster as the next Rinascita characters in Version 2.1. More new characters, such as Zani, are slated to debut in subsequent updates.

The major Wuthering Waves 2.0 update delivered a wealth of new content for players. Alongside a new main story chapter and the introduction of Rinascita as an explorable region, the update launched the 5-Star character Carlotta, a potent Glacio DPS who uses Pistols. Her banner, running concurrently with Zhezhi's, remains active until January 23. The second Rinascita character, the Havoc unit Roccia, will debut later in this update cycle. As excitement for Version 2.1 builds, developer Kuro Games has heightened anticipation by revealing the next set of characters.

Through a series of official social media posts, Kuro Games confirmed Phoebe and Brant as the next 5-Star Rinascita arrivals. Based on the marketing order, Phoebe's banner is expected in Phase 1 of Version 2.1, followed by Brant in Phase 2. While their rarities are confirmed, their exact weapon types and Elements remain officially unannounced. However, players' encounters with both characters in the story strongly indicate Phoebe commands Spectro powers, while Brant is a sword user. With Phoebe and Brant confirmed, Zani is the only remaining teased Rinascita character awaiting a playable debut. Although other characters are rumored for the 2.X cycle, fans await further official announcements.

According to the game's lore, Phoebe is an Acolyte of the Order of the Deep, a Rinascita faction devoted to the Sentinel Imperator. She is deeply committed to the Order's doctrines but possesses a joyful spirit beneath her composed exterior. Brant serves as the captain of the Fool's Troupe, a traveling Carnevale performance group that includes Roccia. He maintains a carefree facade, but his true focus is safeguarding his Troupe from any threats. Both characters are poised to be central figures in the unfolding narrative of future Wuthering Waves updates.

Wuthering Waves Version 2.0 is projected to conclude in mid-February. Beyond new characters, this patch also introduced a premium outfit for the popular character Jinhsi. Players can also look forward to earning Sanhua's new outfit for free by participating in an event starting January 23.
