Radio Code Generator

Finding the Serial Number:

The serial number is on a label on the side of your radio. You'll need to partially remove the audio unit to see it. Take a picture once you find it; it's usually near the barcode.

Entering Your Code:

1. Repeatedly press the pre-determined button 1. Stop when the code digit appears on the screen.
2. Repeat this process with buttons 2, 3, and 4.
3. Enter the code correctly and confirm. The confirm button may be 5, , or > depending on your radio model (e.g., 5 for Ford 6000CD, for Sony, > for most VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat).

My Radio Says SAFE/LOCKED/WAIT/ERROR:

All radios have anti-brute force protection. To prevent excessive attempts (a 4-digit code has a maximum of 9999 possibilities), the radio will block after three incorrect attempts.

• Ford: If you see "WAIT," leave the radio on for 30 minutes. "LOCKED" or "LOCKED10"? Hold button 6 for ten seconds. You might get three more attempts. "LOCKED13" indicates a semi-permanent block requiring dealer intervention.
• VW (Volkswagen): Three incorrect attempts result in "SAFE" or "SAFE2." Leave the unit on for 60 minutes to retry.
