Alolan Mon Debuts in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Pokémon TCG Pocket is officially launching its Celestial Guardians expansion this month. The global release is set for April 30th, 2025, transporting players to the Alola region where they’ll explore beneath its radiant Sun and shimmering Moon.

What’s New in Pokémon TCG Pocket Celestial Guardians Expansion?

The Celestial Guardians expansion introduces two brand-new digital booster packs featuring Solgaleo and Lunala as key characters. Players will also encounter Lillie and other familiar faces from this era.

Collectors will want to pay special attention to this substantial update. With over 200 new cards, the expansion includes powerful Pokémon ex variants of Solgaleo and Lunala, plus Alola's starter trio – Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio – making their Pokémon TCG Pocket debut.

Starting May 1st, players can showcase their collections with a new Rowlet-inspired binder cover and display board. Get a first look at the Celestial Guardians in action below.

What Are the Events?

From April 30th at 06:00 UTC through May 13th at 05:59 UTC, players can participate in solo battles to earn exclusive promo cards, including a special Rayquaza ex variant.

Concurrent special missions running until May 29th at 05:59 UTC offer additional rewards, including an alternate Rayquaza ex version, accessories, and other bonuses.

The Pokémon TCG Pocket Half-Year Celebration begins April 29th at 11:00 PM PDT, culminating with the expansion launch. Until May 12th, solo battles will distribute Promo Pack A Series Vol. 7 boosters featuring Rayquaza ex as the highlighted card.
