Zenless Zone Zero Leak Teases New Event for Version 1.5

A leaked Zenless Zone Zero update reveals a new Version 1.5 event featuring a Fall Guys-style multiplayer platformer game mode. This temporary event, tentatively titled "Grand Marcel," is expected to arrive alongside the late January release of Version 1.5, which also introduces characters Astra Yao and Evelyn.

Version 1.4, released in December, included two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo, along with two permanent battle-focused modes. However, HoYoverse, the developer, is known for incorporating temporary, unique game modes into special events. The current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event, for example, offers a tower defense experience.

Leaker Palito shared screenshots showcasing the platformer stages, strongly resembling Fall Guys. While the mode's permanence is uncertain, the "Grand Marcel" event is anticipated to offer rewards like Polychromes and potentially additional free pulls, as previously rumored for Version 1.5. It remains unclear whether players will control their usual characters or Bangboo within the platformer stages.

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events. Honkai Impact 3rd's 2022 "Midnight Chronicle" event featured similar Fall Guys-style gameplay with chibi character representations. This precedent suggests a similar approach might be used in Zenless Zone Zero, potentially featuring the popular Bangboo.

Version 1.5, slated for January 22nd, will also introduce Astra Yao and Evelyn, and potentially Nicole's first character skin and Ellen's Agent Story, as suggested by earlier leaks. The addition of this platformer event adds another layer of excitement to the upcoming update.
