This year's TennoCon delivered a knockout punch with the announcement of Warframe: 1999, a massive update promising a nostalgic trip back to the year 1999. Get ready for a retro-futuristic adventure unlike any other!

The journey begins with a prologue quest, "The Lotus Eaters," launching in August 2024. Reuniting players with a beloved Warframe character, this quest sets the stage for the main event, introducing the world of 1999 and the new Warframe, Sevatgoth Prime, and its exclusive weapons. Completing "The Lotus Eaters" is a prerequisite for accessing Warframe: 1999, slated for release in Winter 2024.

Warframe: 1999 plunges players into an alternate 1999 Earth, where the Y2K bug manifests as a deadly virus threatening global annihilation. The setting is Höllvania, a vibrant 90s city corrupted by Techrot. Navigate this retro-dystopia using the new Atomicyles, futuristic vehicles capable of bullet jumps, drifts, and even explosive maneuvers. Commanding these vehicles are the six members of the Hex, each sporting a Protoframe – a Warframe design showcasing the human pilot.

The Hex team boasts an impressive voice cast, including Alpha Takahashi, Ben Starr, Melissa Medina, and Amelia Tyler. Interact with them via in-game instant messaging for a truly authentic 1999 experience!

Prepare for a showdown with On-lyne, a 90s boy band infected by Technocyte Coda and transformed into formidable foes. Their infectious music, including the hit single "Party of Your Lifetime," will be available on major streaming platforms.

Fashion is key! Warframe: 1999 introduces dual fashion frame loadouts and the Gemini Skins, allowing players to bring Protoframes like Arthur and Aoi into the Origin System. These skins unlock fully voiced lines for combat and interactions, making the most of the stellar voice acting.
