Uncover the Secrets: Every Power Cell in Jak and Daxter's Precursor Basin
Mastering Precursor Basin in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy's Zoomer Challenges
Precursor Basin, following Fire Canyon, presents a deceptively challenging Zoomer-based level in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. While less overtly dangerous, its intricate objectives demand precision and skill. This guide outlines each challenge, offering tips for success and securing all trophies.
Herd the Moles:
This initial task involves guiding four blind moles back to their burrows using the Zoomer. Strategic bumping and sharp turns (utilizing the Zoomer's hop) are key to efficiently herding them. Reward: A Power Cell.
Catch the Flying Lurkers:
Similar to the mole herding, this involves chasing and ramming airborne Lurkers. Anticipating their flight paths and intercepting them at turns is crucial. The final Lurker drops a Power Cell.
Beat Record Time on the Gorge:
This timed race demands mastery of the Zoomer's controls. The 45-second target requires skillful navigation, utilizing Blue Eco boosts strategically obtained between pillars and in tunnels. Avoid Dark Eco Crates and consider a Lurker-assisted jump for an extra speed boost (though risky). Success unlocks a Power Cell and a trophy for sub-40-second times.
Get the Power Cell Over the Lake:
This involves a series of precise jumps and maneuvers across narrow bridges and islands. The route involves navigating a series of gaps and using the Zoomer's hop to bridge distances. Careful timing and speed are essential. Reward: A Power Cell.
Cure the Dark Eco Infected Plants:
A simpler task requiring Green Eco. Drive through the purple plants to cure them before they regenerate. Efficient driving and use of the hop for sharp turns are important. Reward: A Power Cell.
Navigate the Purple Precursor Rings:
This timed ring challenge requires quick reflexes and precise driving. The most challenging part involves a mid-air ring off a natural bridge; a confident jump is necessary. Completing the course awards a Power Cell.
Navigate the Blue Precursor Rings:
The blue rings present a significantly harder challenge. Key sections include a ring over the lake (requiring a rock-assisted hop), a tricky hop off a hill near the Dark Eco plants, and a series of tight turns around pillars near the end. Success yields a Power Cell.
Free the 7 Scout Flies:
Collecting all seven Scout Flies scattered throughout the area rewards a Power Cell. Their locations vary, from near the mole holes to elevated platforms and islands.
By completing all these objectives, players will fully master Precursor Basin and reap the rewards of numerous Power Cells and trophies. Remember to practice and refine your Zoomer skills for optimal success.
