Ubisoft has officially confirmed to Game File that the live-action Driver TV series adaptation is no longer in production. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project aimed to expand the Driver gaming universe, as stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik. The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a film subsidiary (named after the game's protagonist), in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to Game File that the partnership with Binge is terminated.

However, Ubisoft has reassured fans that development continues on other Driver projects.
