Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC
Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their acclaimed sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and a popular request from the community. This new feature is set to revolutionize the gameplay experience, allowing players to engage with each other in the destructible world of Teardown.
Alongside the multiplayer update, Tuxedo Labs is launching the Folkrace DLC, which will enrich the single-player experience. This expansion introduces new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges, giving players the chance to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to conquer the tracks. The Folkrace DLC promises to add depth and excitement to the already engaging single-player mode.
The multiplayer mode will initially be available on Steam’s Experimental Branch, where players can access it early and provide valuable feedback. Tuxedo Labs is particularly keen on input from the modding community, as they will be releasing updates to the game’s API. These updates will enable modders to adapt their creations for use in the multiplayer environment, ensuring a seamless integration of mods into the new mode.
Once the testing phase is complete, multiplayer will become a core feature of Teardown, opening up new avenues for player interaction and creativity. The developers have also teased that two more major DLCs are on the horizon, with more information to be revealed later in 2025. This roadmap indicates a bright future for Teardown, with continuous updates and expansions to keep the community engaged and excited.
