Pokémon Classic Community Day Revived for January

Niantic has revealed Ralts as the star Pokémon for January's Community Day Classic! This guide details the event, including bonuses and in-app purchases.

January's Community Day Classic: Ralts Takes Center Stage

On January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), trainers will have a heightened chance of encountering Ralts, with a boosted appearance rate for its Shiny form.

For $2 USD, a special research story focusing on Ralts unlocks exclusive rewards: a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three encounters with Ralts showcasing Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.

Evolving Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within the five-hour post-event window) yields a Gardevoir or Gallade possessing the powerful Charged Attack "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).

Timed Research offers additional rewards: 4 Sinnoh Stones and a Ralts encounter with a Dual Destiny-themed background. Unlike the main Community Day event, this research remains accessible for a week post-event.

• Three-hour Lure Modules and Incense duration
• Snapshot surprises!

An Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99 USD) containing 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket will be available in the Pokémon GO web store starting January 21st, 2025, at 10:00 AM (local time).

Two in-game Community Day bundles will also be offered:

• 1,350 PokéCoins: 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, 5 Lucky Eggs
• 480 PokéCoins: 30 Ultra Balls, 1 Incense, 3 Super Incubators, 1 Lure Module

Pokemon GO's Recurring Monthly Event

Niantic's monthly Community Day Classic events continue, each featuring a different Pokémon (November 2024 highlighted Mankey). These events increase the encounter rate of the featured Pokémon, including Shiny variants, and offer unique move evolutions and various in-game bonuses. December's event is a two-day extravaganza featuring multiple Pokémon.
