NieR: Automata - Dented Plates Acquisition Guide

NieR: Automata Resource Management: Farming Dented Plates

While resource abundance varies in NieR: Automata, the demand for materials, especially for weapon upgrades, remains high. Dented Plates, a frequently needed resource, can be efficiently farmed using several strategies.

Efficient Dented Plate Farming Locations

Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:

  • Small Bipeds (all variants)
  • Small Flyers (all variants)
  • Small Spheres (all variants)

These ubiquitous enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters and fast travel isn't the most efficient method.

The Optimal Farming Spot: Adam's Pit

The most effective location is the pit where you first encounter Adam in the main storyline.

  1. Fast Travel: Use the Desert: Housing Complex access point.
  2. Navigate: Follow the path into the ruins and descend to the pit.
  3. Endless Spawning: Enemies, primarily Small Bipeds, will continuously respawn as you eliminate them, providing a consistent Dented Plate source. This area also yields Titanium Alloy.

Alternative Farming Locations: Forest Kingdom

For a more varied approach, consider the Forest Kingdom. Groups of spear-wielding Bipeds frequently appear, offering a chance for Dented Plate drops. This area also provides opportunities to gather Beast Hide. Note that higher-level Bipeds yield a higher drop rate.

Boosting Drop Rates

Equipping drop-rate increasing plug-in chips significantly enhances your Dented Plate acquisition. Remember, losing these chips upon death is permanent.

By utilizing these strategies, you can amass the necessary Dented Plates for extensive weapon upgrades in NieR: Automata.
