Obtaining the Type-40 Sword

The Type-40 sword is the reward for completing the side quest "Find a Present," the final quest in a series involving Operator 6O. To unlock this quest, two prior side quests must be completed. Here's a step-by-step guide, including chapter selection points:

1. Post-Chapter 5: After defeating Adam and Eve in Chapter 5, you'll receive a call from Operator 6O. This initiates the "Investigating Communications" quest – complete it immediately as it's easily missed.

2. Chapter 6 & 7 Progression: Advance through Chapter 6 (Forest Castle events) and into Chapter 7.

3. "Terminal Repairs": After speaking with Pascal about A2 and exploring the city ruins, Operator 6O will contact you again, instructing you to check your inbox at an access point to begin "Terminal Repairs."

4. "Find a Present": While returning to the Resistance Camp during Chapter 7, a final call from Operator 6O will mention flowers and send a new message to your inbox. This message begins "Find a Present."

5. Reward: Completing "Find a Present" will deliver the Type-40 Sword to your inbox.

The Type-40 Sword at level 1 features a 5-hit light attack combo and a 3-hit heavy attack combo. Upgrading it to level 4 increases the light attack combo to 7 hits and enhances its effectiveness against stunned enemies. Titanium Alloy is required for these upgrades.
