The developers at Build A Rocket Boy are urging fans to hold off playing MindsEye until its official launch after early copies surfaced online. Some players obtained physical editions a week ahead of schedule and began sharing mixed impressions on social media.

Twitter user @MrHazel88 posted images of an early MindsEye copy alongside critical tweets describing technical issues, labeling the game a "messy experience."

With MindsEye officially launching June 10th, Build A Rocket Boy issued an official statement warning against spoilers and confirming a crucial Day One update that significantly improves the experience.

The studio described this mandatory update for physical copies as containing "essential enhancements to deliver MindsEye as intended" and optimize character interactions.

Regarding story spoilers, Build A Rocket Boy emphasized MindsEye's narrative relies on carefully crafted emotional moments and plot twists. "We want all players to experience the story simultaneously without preconceptions," explained the developer.

These early leaks compound existing challenges for Build A Rocket Boy. Recently, co-CEO Mark Gerhard alleged organized attempts to sabotage the game's reception, including paid negative reviews and bot campaigns.

The Edinburgh-based studio faced additional scrutiny when key executives departed shortly before launch, raising concerns within its growing fanbase.
