There's no denying the excitement surrounding the new Final Destination film now in theaters. Final Destination: Bloodlines marks the sixth installment of the legendary franchise, and it wouldn't be complete without the iconic presence of Tony Todd. The late actor, renowned for his chilling portrayal of the original Candyman, delivers a powerful monologue that, as producer Craig Perry reveals, was entirely improvised - making Todd's final film appearance profoundly meaningful.

"We all knew he was seriously ill," Perry shared with Deadline, reflecting on both the new film and his journey producing the franchise since its 2000 debut. "It was evident this would be his final film role, and having it be in a Final Destination movie added deeper significance."

Perry recounted how directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein took a creative risk during Todd's scene, allowing him to speak spontaneously rather than sticking to the script.

"Our directors wisely chose to scrap the final scripted lines," Perry explained. "They told Tony, 'Just say what you want to tell the fans. Share whatever message feels right for this moment.' What makes that scene so emotionally raw is its authenticity - it's Tony speaking directly through the camera to the fans who've supported him throughout his career. It was truly magical on set, an unforgettable moment I'll carry with me forever."
