Disneyland Paris Unveils Lion King Ride Details, Construction Nears
Disneyland Paris unveils exciting updates for its upcoming Lion King ride, including fresh concept images, immersive details, and a fall 2025 construction timeline.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, this first-ever Lion King-themed expansion will anchor the transformed Walt Disney Studios Park—soon to be rebranded as Disney Adventure World. Guests will embark on a spectacular water adventure recreating iconic scenes from the 1994 classic, accompanied by towering 120-foot Pride Rock structures. The land will also offer diverse dining options, retail experiences, and character interactions.

Newly revealed concept art showcases intricate Audio-Animatronic figures of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa feasting on grubs amid lush jungle scenery. The attraction will feature a thrilling 52-foot drop—marginally exceeding the height of Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Scheduled after World of Frozen's 2026 debut, this expansion will significantly enlarge Disney Adventure World, doubling the current park's size.
Complementing Frozen-inspired attractions and the Tangled-themed carousel starring Mandy Moore's Rapunzel, guests can anticipate Disney's first-ever Up-themed experience—a rotating carousel offering aerial park views.

Debuting May 15, 2025, the World Premiere entrance will evoke Hollywood's golden age glamour, while the adjacent Broadway-inspired plaza will host theatrical productions including Pixar-themed musicals and Frozen performances.
