Free Fire to debut new Winterlands: Aurora event to mark the festive season

Free Fire's Winterlands 2024 update brings the chill with new character Koda and frosty gameplay mechanics. This winter-themed event introduces a fresh character, enhanced movement, and seasonal challenges.

Koda, a newcomer from the arctic, utilizes a mystical fox mask granting him Aurora Vision. This ability lets him detect enemies hidden behind cover (excluding crouching or prone players) and highlights enemy positions during parachuting.

The star of the Winterlands update is Frosty Tracks – ice-covered pathways enabling players to dash across the map while shooting, maneuvering, and using throwables. Strategically placed Coin Machines along these tracks reward players with 100 FF coins during traversal. These tracks appear in both Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes.

Aurora Events further enhance the winter experience. In Battle Royale, aurora-affected Coin Machines offer buffs, while Clash Squad features aurora-affected Supply Gadgets providing similar team advantages. Completing event quests by interacting with these special items grants team-wide boosts.
