Funcom has released an enthralling new trailer for their upcoming multiplayer survival game, Dune: Awakening, set within the iconic universe of Frank Herbert's "Dune." The trailer dives deep into the vast and treacherous deserts of Arrakis, showcasing the myriad challenges and opportunities that players will encounter in this expansive world.

In Dune: Awakening, exploration is the cornerstone of survival. Players will traverse the dangerous dunes to collect vital resources necessary for crafting shelters and vehicles, including battle-ready ornithopters. To streamline the search for resources, players can employ a scanner, and placing probes on high ground will uncover important points of interest across the map.

These points of interest vary from crashed spacecraft to forsaken outposts. Accessing these locations often demands creative problem-solving, with tools such as grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized gear becoming indispensable. All equipment can be enhanced at the player's base using modular components, ensuring they remain well-equipped to face the perils of Arrakis.

The early access launch of Dune: Awakening is scheduled for May 20, exclusively for PC players. Console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be available at a later date. In the lead-up to the release, players can start customizing their characters and assessing system performance with the benchmark tool found on Steam.
