Disney Mirrorverse Announces EOS By The End Of This Year
Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile game featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters in a new universe, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently closed.
Have You Played Disney Mirrorverse?
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse is an action RPG featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar characters. Kabam advises players to complete the final storyline before the game's closure.
Despite initial excitement among Disney fans, the two-year early access beta and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition.
The Unexpected Disney Mirrorverse Shutdown
The game's full potential remained unrealized, hampered by a demanding shard collection system that required significant in-game spending to fully develop characters. However, the game's character designs were consistently praised for their creativity and visual quality.
The EOS announcement is particularly disappointing given the recent release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This abrupt closure surprised many players. This isn't Kabam's first game shutdown; they previously ended Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off without much warning.
