When is the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event?

The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on **March 26 at 10 AM local time** and runs until **8 PM local time on March 30**. That's five full days dedicated to hunting down those elusive bug-type Pokemon. It's a prime time for Shiny hunting, as nearly every featured Pokemon has a Shiny variant in *Pokemon GO*.

  • More Candy XL for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws (for Trainers over Level 31).
  • Sizzlipede can be attracted with Lure Modules.
  • Higher chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
  • Additional Pokemon will appear near a lured PokeStop if enough Pokemon are caught using a single Lure Module.

Pokemon GO Bug Out Field Research, Timed Research, & Paid Timed Research

Spinning PokeStops during the event will grant you event-themed Field Research tasks, rewarding you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with featured Pokemon. Additionally, Timed Research rewards include a Lure Module and encounters with event Pokemon, while Paid Timed Research offers a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and encounters with event Pokemon. Make sure to complete and claim all rewards before the event ends.
