Bird Pokémon Debuts in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!

If you're a Pokémon GO player, get ready for some exciting events on the horizon, including the Catch Mastery event. Alongside ongoing events like the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, the Catch Mastery event adds another layer of fun.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

The Catch Mastery event is set for March 16th, running from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. You'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the possibility of discovering their Shiny variants.

Archen will also be available as a reward from Field Research, offering an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. The event includes attractive XP bonuses, doubling your XP for Nice Throws or better, as well as for Curveball Throws.

Additionally, there’s Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, earning a total of 40 Archen encounters.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Following closely is the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol will gain a new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently have access to this move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will temporarily increase to 20. You'll also have the chance to obtain up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your daily total to six.
