Tarneeb 41

Tarneeb is a card game played by two teams, each consisting of two players sitting opposite each other. Using a standard 52-card deck, play proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player attempts to estimate the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team will win in a round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" (trump) then throws a type of paper onto the floor; other players must throw the same type of paper to continue. The first player to successfully match the paper type wins the trick ("Bamh"). If a player doesn't have a matching paper, they have the option to declare "Tarneeb." "Tarneeb" papers outrank all other papers, and the player who throws the highest-ranking "Tarneeb" paper wins unless a stronger "Tarneeb" paper is played.

The round ends when all players have played their cards. Points are tallied. A team only scores if they meet or exceed their bid for "Allmat." If successful, they add the number of "Allmat" won to their score. If unsuccessful, the number of "Allmat" they didn't win is subtracted from their score, and the number of "Allmat" the opposing team won is added to their score.

If a team bids for and wins 13 tricks without explicitly calling for 13, 16 points are added to their total. If they bid for and win 13 tricks, 26 points are added. If a team bids for 13 tricks and fails, 16 points are deducted.

The game concludes when a team reaches a total score of 41 or more points; that team is declared the winner.
