"Warriors: Abyss Launches Today as a Roguelite Adventure"

Hot off the heels of *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, Koei Tecmo is back with another exciting release that brings a fresh twist to the beloved musou genre. Introducing *Warriors: Abyss*, the latest action-packed roguelite now available across multiple platforms. This time around, players are treated to an all-star cast from the *Warriors* series, engaging in fast-paced combat against relentless waves of enemies.

Revealed during today’s PlayStation State of Play presentation, *Warriors: Abyss* invites players to build their own squad and dive into intense, isometric hack-and-slash gameplay. The visual perspective draws inspiration from classic dungeon crawlers like *Diablo*, while also echoing the stylish intensity seen in titles such as *Hades*. As you battle your way through hordes of demonic foes, you'll find yourself immersed in a dark, hellish world filled with chaos and excitement.

The game features iconic characters from across the *Warriors* franchise, including fan favorites like Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sunshang Xiang. According to the footage shown during the reveal, these warriors can be recruited over time, expanding your roster and giving you more strategic options in battle. Players can deploy up to seven active heroes at once, with a total pool of 100 warriors available right at launch.

Expanding the Roster

Koei Tecmo has confirmed plans to introduce even more characters post-launch, starting with new additions from the Jin kingdom in *Dynasty Warriors*. Beyond that, the developer teased additional content waves, hinting that “there might even be characters outside of the Warriors series” joining the fray in the future. This ongoing expansion ensures the game stays fresh and engaging for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Availability and Platforms

*Warriors: Abyss* is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Nintendo Switch players won’t have to wait long—Koei Tecmo has announced a February 13, 2025, release date for the Switch version. Those interested in exclusive cosmetic content should act quickly, as the Dynasty Warriors Costume Set will only be available for purchase until March 14, 2025.
