Bloodlines 2: New Vampire Hunter Foes Revealed
New details have emerged from The Chinese Room about the vampire hunters in Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2. The mysterious Information Awareness Bureau (IAB) operates off the books, pursuing their secret war against vampires despite lacking official sanction. Their agents hunt what they call "Hollow Ones" under cover of routine drills and anti-terror operations.
The Iron Fist of Agent Baker
Leading Seattle's IAB operations, Agent Baker brings military precision to vampire eradication. A ruthless strategist, she pieces together Seattle's supernatural patterns through cold analysis of historical records and current anomalies. Her absolute command over her operatives has spawned the ironic moniker "The Hen" among her devoted subordinates.
Tactical Superiority
These hunters present a coordinated threat like no other. Their compound boasts layered defenses, while field teams employ military-grade communication, blinding spotlights, and devastating weaponry. Their thermic batons negate defensive maneuvers, phosphorus grenades flush targets from cover, and specialized crossbow bolts detonate with devastating force unless immediately removed.
Hunters Have Weaknesses Too
While formidable, these mortal enemies aren't unstoppable. Their human frailty leaves them vulnerable to vampire abilities. Fire-wielding Kindred can catch and return their explosives, while Ventrue elders can turn hunters against each other through sheer force of will.
Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 stalks toward its 2025 launch window, with PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions confirmed.
