Top SEGA Stars Are Coming to Sonic Rumble in its First-Ever Crossover!
Sonic Rumble, despite not yet having a global launch, has already kicked off an exciting crossover event known as Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This event is currently live and will continue until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide release scheduled for May 8th. Sonic Rumble is currently in soft launch and available in over 40 countries. It underwent two pre-launch phases: the first in Summer 2024 in regions including the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia, and the second in regions like Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, and South Africa.
What’s in Store?
If you're located in one of the regions where Sonic Rumble soft-launched last year, you can participate in the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. The event brings back the Altered Beast crew, with the Werewolf transformation available for free. Fans of the classic beast modes can also obtain the Werebear and Weredragon, though with different payment methods. The Weredragon is part of the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.
The event also introduces elements from Fantasy Zone, with Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa joining the fray. Opa-Opa is included in the Premium Pass, whereas Upa-Upa can be acquired through fragments bought with standard rings, costing 700 rings each. Additionally, AiAi and MeeMee from Super Monkey Ball have made an appearance in the crossover. To get AiAi, you'll need to spend 729 Red Star Rings. You can get a glimpse of the crossover event in the video below.
Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover
During matches, you can collect SEGA logos to earn additional rewards. While it may seem unusual for the event to be live before the global release, SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will be available again later. The inclusion of characters from SEGA's past and present in this first crossover event adds a thrilling dimension to Sonic Rumble, showcasing a blend of monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and mythical creatures alongside Sonic and friends.
You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store if it's available in your region, or wait for its global release on May 8th. Additionally, stay updated with our coverage on the latest news, such as the Vampire Survivors' SaGa-Based DLC Emerald Diorama and the Cross-Save Update.
