Shift Up is bringing holiday spirit to Xion on December 17th. Celebrate with Christmas-themed costumes, decorations, and a brand-new mini-game!

Eve and other characters receive festive makeovers:

• I’m No Santa (Adam)

A Festive Xion and a Holiday Mini-Game

Xion transforms into a winter wonderland, adorned with warm lights and festive decorations. The Last Gulp and Eve's camp also receive holiday makeovers, complete with seasonal BGM ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away").

A new mini-game awaits! While details are scarce, targeting a holiday drone promises special rewards.

Control Your Festive Fun: Enabling and Disabling Seasonal Content

The update introduces options to manage seasonal events, including the Nier:Automata DLC. In the game's Settings (Gameplay > Seasonal Event Content), choose from:

• Auto: Automatically enables/disables based on the season.
• Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
• Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.

Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart.

Mixed Reception: A Celebration with Concerns

Following the December 16th announcement, fan reaction was largely positive, with many embracing the "Christmas Eve" nickname for the protagonist. However, some questioned the frequency of event updates for a single-player title. Others expressed frustration over the need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content.

Many games with seasonal content offer multiplayer or high replayability. Stellar Blade's shorter playtime (around 30 hours) means players may need to restart to fully enjoy the seasonal additions after completing the main story.
