In Monster Hunter Wilds, there's plenty to explore beyond hunting massive beasts. If you're aiming to unlock the A Prize Held High trophy or achievement, here's a step-by-step guide to help you succeed.

Steps to Unlock the A Prize Held High Trophy in Monster Hunter Wilds

Despite its description, this trophy doesn't involve dragons or wyverns. Instead, you'll need to capture a Curioshell Crab using the Capture Net.

Finding the Curioshell Crab can be tricky since it appears across various maps. The most consistent spot is the Scarlet Forest. From the base camp, head to Area 6: Flowering Rocks pop-up camp, located between Areas 2 and 6 if you haven't discovered it yet.

At the Flowering Rocks, check the nearby water puddle, a common spawning spot for the Curioshell Crab. If you can't see it, Alma may hint at its presence by asking if a creature is holding something, signaling a Curioshell Crab is nearby.

Equip your Capture Net, aim until the reticle turns orange, and fire to catch the crab. A successful capture rewards you with both the Curioshell Crab and an Ancient Wyvern Coin.

The Curioshell Crab moves quickly, so aim slightly ahead of its path for a successful capture. Other reliable locations include Area 13 in the Windward Plains and Area 8 in the Scarlet Forest, though the crab may appear elsewhere on the maps as well.
