Stellar Blade director and producer Kim Hyung Tae has expressed his full support for mods and is eager to try them out himself.

Reports from multiple sources indicate that Kim was questioned about his stance on modding during a recent press conference in Yeouido, South Korea. He responded, "I wholeheartedly support players using mods. In fact, I'm personally excited to experiment with some of the more creative mods."

"I'm looking forward to seeing many players develop their own mods and engage in friendly competition to see whose creations are the most appealing. I also hope more players will get involved in the modding community."

This enthusiasm comes at an ideal time, as the game hasn't even launched on PC yet, but dozens of mods are already available on Nexus for the PC demo. These range from new character skins and visual reshaders to VR enhancements and even nail polish customization. Additionally, several more mods are discreetly hidden from public view and classified as "adult" content, which we'll simply acknowledge without further detail.

IGN's review of Stellar Blade awarded it a 7/10, stating: "Stellar Blade excels in the most crucial aspects of an action game, but it's held back by unmemorable characters, an underwhelming story, and several frustrating RPG mechanics that prevent it from reaching the top tier of the genre."

The PC version of Stellar Blade launches on Steam on June 11, bringing numerous PC-specific features. These include AI upscaling via Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceovers, ultrawide display support, higher-resolution environment textures, and DualSense controller support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Although the game was initially region-locked in over 100 countries, it's now available for pre-order on PC in more than 250 regions. While there is no official multiplayer mod for Stellar Blade, data miners have discovered potential signs of multiplayer functionality within the game files.
