Star Wars: Hunters to Shut Down Prematurely
Star Wars: Hunters Faces Premature Shutdown Before First Anniversary
Star Wars: Hunters is preparing to shut down servers barely a year after launch, raising questions about celebrating milestones for a dying game.
Official Shutdown Timeline
The servers will officially close on October 1, 2025, marking just nine months of operation. Developers are allowing players to complete Season 5, which concludes on April 15th.
Zynga will release one final content update on April 15th, introducing Tuya as a free Support Hunter. All in-game purchases will be disabled simultaneously.
Ranked Mode will remain available until server closure, with seasonal events repeating. Players should spend remaining Crystals as no refunds will be issued.
Predictable Outcome
The game's failure comes as little surprise given its troubled development. Originally announced in 2020, Hunters suffered multiple delays with limited beta testing confined to SEA and ANZAC regions.
A belated launch, minimal console support, and mediocre reception all contributed to Hunters' demise. The game also missed opportunities by ignoring legendary Star Wars characters in favor of generic new ones.
Final Chance to Play
The game remains available for download until shutdown through the Google Play Store for players wishing to experience it one last time.
