Nerfs Reverted, Starting October 24

Space Marine 2 Patch Reverts Nerfs After Fan BacklashPatch 4.1, deploying October 24th, will undo the most criticized balance changes introduced in Patch 4.0. This decision follows widespread player frustration and negative reviews on Steam. Saber Interactive plans to launch Public Test Servers in early 2025 to gather feedback and prevent similar issues in the future. Game director Dmitriy Grigorenko stated, "We’ve been monitoring your feedback...and have decided to address your most pressing concerns."

The initial nerfs in Patch 4.0 aimed to increase challenge by adjusting enemy spawns, rather than boosting enemy health. However, this negatively impacted easier difficulty levels.

Ruthless difficulty will also see a 10% player armor increase, and bots will receive a 30% damage buff against bosses.

Furthermore, the hotfix includes substantial buffs to Bolt weapons, addressing their previous underperformance across all difficulty settings. The specific damage increases are as follows:

  • Auto Bolt Rifle: +20%
  • Bolt Rifle: +10%
  • Heavy Bolt Rifle: +15%
  • Stalker Bolt Rifle: +10%
  • Marksman Bolt Carbine: +10%
  • Instigator Bolt Carbine: +10%
  • Bolt Sniper Rifle: +12.5%
  • Bolt Carbine: +15%
  • Occulus Bolt Carbine: +15%
  • Heavy Bolter: +5% (x2)

Saber Interactive will continue monitoring player feedback post-Patch 4.1 to ensure Lethal difficulty remains appropriately challenging and rewarding.
