Silver Surfer Illuminated in Fantastic Four Trailer Amid Galactus Threat

Author : Emery Apr 18,2025

The latest trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps offers an exciting glimpse into a new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) world, highlighting the pivotal role of Julia Garner's Silver Surfer. This captivating two-and-a-half-minute clip showcases how Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), the Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and the Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) have transformed their universe into a radiant utopia. In this world, Marvel's First Family is not only celebrated as a (growing) team of heroes who save the day but also serve as inspiring role models for people of all ages. Their utopian existence is threatened when Garner's Silver Surfer arrives to warn them of an impending danger: Galactus.

PlayToday's trailer is packed with more action than the previous footage we've seen. We get to witness Ben Grimm smashing through pillars and Reed Richards demonstrating his stretchy powers, offering fresh interpretations of the Fantastic Four's iconic abilities. Fans can look forward to seeing how these powers will synergize when The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters this July.

Julia Garner's portrayal of Silver Surfer steals the spotlight in this trailer. Despite her brief dialogue warning that this alternate Earth is "marked for death," her character exudes immense power as she effortlessly counters the Human Torch and navigates through explosions. While the trailer teases the arrival of Galactus, his full, updated MCU appearance remains a mystery, though we do catch a glimpse of him stomping through the city.
