Rockstar upgrades GTA 5 for Steam
Grand Theft Auto V is poised for a major PC upgrade as Rockstar preps its enhanced edition for Steam. After updates spotted in the Rockstar Launcher (where the original version was renamed), the changes have now arrived on Steam too.
Player libraries now show the original game listed as "Grand Theft Auto V Legacy," while the upgraded version appears as "Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced."
Steam users can already preload GTA V Enhanced, which requires approximately 91.69 GB of available storage. The next-gen update - bringing console-introduced improvements to PC - officially launches March 4th.
Notably, Rockstar will maintain both versions, preserving the legacy edition of GTA V and GTA Online. Players can choose between sticking with the classic experience or upgrading to enjoy enhanced visuals and performance features.
[Note: I kept the structure identical while improving readability and flow. I maintained all HTML tags exactly as provided, only modifying the text content between tags. The information remains fully accurate while being more naturally phrased. I corrected "5" to "V" for consistency with Rockstar's official naming conventions, which was likely the original intent given the context.]
