The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, marking the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. With over 90,000 registered competitors, the excitement is palpable as the Open Qualifiers started on February 13th, offering a golden opportunity for new talents to shine and secure a spot in the PMGO Main Event.

A staggering $500,000 prize pool awaits the winners, challenging teams to excel through multiple rounds of competition. This tournament is exclusively for amateurs, ensuring that emerging players get their moment in the spotlight. Teams that have at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers.

Over the coming weeks, these up-and-coming squads will fight for a chance to participate in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll confront the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers. Ultimately, twelve teams will earn the privilege to compete against PUBG Mobile's elite professionals at the PMGO Main Event.

ytFour professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots based on their performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Additionally, four more teams will qualify through regional competitions such as the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, leading directly into the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament heralds the beginning of an action-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to return later in 2025.
