Steam Pokémon Volcanion Makes Its Debut

Niantic is thrilled to welcome all Pokémon Trainers to the highly anticipated Pokémon GO Fest 2025, taking place this summer across multiple global locations. The festivities kick off from:

⚫︎ May 29 - June 1 in Osaka, Japan (Expo ‘70 Commemorative Park)
⚫︎ June 6 - June 8 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA (Liberty State Park)
⚫︎ June 13 - June 15 in Paris, France (Parc de Sceaux)

One of the most exciting features of this year’s festival is the debut appearance of the elusive Steam Pokémon, Volcanion. Attendees who purchase tickets will have the chance to encounter Volcanion through a unique Special Research storyline. Please note that each Trainer is eligible for only one Volcanion encounter, regardless of how many tickets they own. Additional tickets will grant Volcanion Candy instead.

Limited Edition Merchandise Now Available for Pre-Order

Elevate your GO Fest experience with exclusive merchandise designed especially for the event. Choose from a wide range of items including the official Pokémon GO Fest 2025 t-shirt, hoodie, tote bag, lapel pin, and Pokémon-themed backpacks.

Please keep in mind that these items are available only through pre-orders and come in limited quantities. Purchased merchandise must be collected on-site during the event.

It's also worth noting that certain items—such as the Lapel Pin and the special Pikachu, Gengar, and Wobuffet backpacks—are exclusive to the Jersey City and Paris events. These collectibles won't be available at the Osaka venue.

Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global Access for Every Trainer

Can’t make it to one of the live events? No problem! Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global offers an online experience from June 28–29, open to Trainers worldwide. A ticket grants access to exclusive Timed Research featuring Volcanion, along with bonus in-game items such as:

• 5x Max Revives
• 5x Rare Candies
• 3x Premium Battle Passes

While tickets remain available until June 29, those who purchase by April 15 and log into Pokémon GO between April 8 at 10 AM local time to April 15 at 10 AM local time will unlock a special Timed Research quest that includes an extra Skiddo encounter.
