Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Unveils New Evil Ending

An Ending that Would Make a 'Father' so Proud

Larian Studios recently shared a gripping 52-second cinematic preview on Twitter (X), showcasing one of the new evil endings in Patch 7 of Baldur’s Gate 3. This clip focuses on The Dark Urge and teases the sinister consequences of a fully evil playthrough.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

The preview reveals the grim fate of The Dark Urge’s companions as they witness their leader succumb to their father’s will, seizing control of the Netherbrain. It’s a harrowing spectacle that foreshadows a reign of terror under Bhaal, with the companions becoming the first tragic victims.

In this chilling scene, The Dark Urge exerts mind-control over their companions, compelling them to plunge to their deaths. A haunting narration accompanies the scene, declaring, "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's," before The Dark Urge meets a similar fate.

This is just one of several evil endings coming with Patch 7. In Larian’s community update from last April, they promised to add "improved evil endings to the game for even darker conclusions to your most sinister playthroughs." Excitingly, these endings are accessible even if you’re not playing as The Dark Urge.

Previously teased endings included The Dark Urge walking on a sea of blood and corpses, and another where an entire town succumbs to "sheer mindless bliss" under The True Absolute's influence.
