Nintendo has reaffirmed the release of several first-party titles for 2025 in their recent financial report. Fans can look forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns HD hitting the shelves on January 16th, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are set to launch this year, though specific dates remain under wraps.

While no additional projects have been disclosed yet, the much-anticipated Nintendo Direct is scheduled for April 2nd, 2025. The exact broadcast time will be announced later via Nintendo's official website and social media channels. Although the event will primarily focus on the Nintendo Switch 2, enthusiasts are eager for any teasers or announcements regarding Switch 2-exclusive titles.

Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Ahead Of Launch

The eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2 is also slated for release later this year. According to the financial report, the console is expected to launch in the latter half of 2025. To build excitement, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events across 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. Registrations for most locations have closed, but a waitlist is available for those still hoping to secure a spot. For the Japan leg of the event tour, ticket applications are open until February 20th JST.

Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida

Nintendo is broadening its horizons with the expansion of Super Nintendo World to the United States. Set to open on May 22nd, 2025, at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida, this marks the second Super Nintendo World location in the country, following its debut in Universal Studios Hollywood in February 2023. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant worlds of Super Mario Land and the lush tropics of Donkey Kong Country from day one.

Furthermore, Nintendo plans to introduce Super Nintendo World to Universal Studios Singapore in 2025, though further details are yet to be announced.
