Special Anniversary Novel Revealed

The anniversary livestream on April 19 brought multiple announcements for NieR fans, including a serialized online novel titled \[U\]ndecided Option.

The novel will release in three installments, with the first chapter already available. Subsequent updates will follow on April 25 and May 2. According to its description: "A loyal servant encounters a mysterious boy with an enigmatic aura, setting their fate in motion."

Square Enix also launched a dedicated anniversary website serving as the central hub for the novel and all upcoming celebratory projects.

Exhibitions, Live Performances, and Collector's Items

An exclusive exhibition will debut at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, showcasing new official artwork of protagonists from Replicant, Automata, and Re\[in\]carnation. Ticket sales and additional details will be announced later.

The NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024 expands its schedule with Osaka performances on July 25-26 and Tokyo shows on August 2-3. Tickets are currently available through lottery on the concert's official site.

The anniversary brings premium merchandise including:

• A jazz adaptation album from December 2024's NieR: Dinner Show
• The NieR Weapon Story compendium featuring lore for 650+ weapons
• Detailed scale figurines of series protagonists

Re\[in\]carnation Developer Insights

Starting April 28, NieR's mobile spinoff Re\[in\]carnation will receive monthly developer blogs documenting its creation process – puzzling since the game ceased service in April 2024.

Originally launched January 2021, the title shut down due to monetization challenges. The sudden blog announcement has sparked speculation about potential sequels or remakes, though Square Enix hasn't confirmed any plans.

The livestream concluded with a 20-minute musical tribute featuring iconic NieR soundtracks. More anniversary surprises are promised as celebrations continue throughout the year.
