"Morikomori Life: New Social, Rural Sim with Ghibli-Style Art"
Morikomori Life has now been officially released on both Android and iOS platforms, though exclusively in Japan. This time, it's being published by Realfun Studio. Originally, the game made its debut in China under the banner of Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games. However, the Chinese version was discontinued approximately a year ago.
The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back
One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its breathtaking visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy lifestyle with anime-inspired, specifically Ghibli-style art. We're talking authentic Studio Ghibli aesthetics, not just AI-generated facsimiles. The game's scenes are so vivid, they almost seem like stills from a Ghibli film.
In terms of the storyline, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl. The narrative kicks off when she receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, inviting her to visit the village of Komori, where Kaon spent her childhood. As you guide Kaon back to her roots, you'll rediscover the joys of a peaceful, rural life. The game's use of 3D toon shading beautifully enhances the warmth and charm of Japan's countryside.

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living
At its core, Morikomori Life is all about embracing the slower rhythms of life. You'll engage in a variety of activities such as farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. Gather resources by chopping wood, mining ore, and exploring to find rare materials.
As you accumulate resources, new opportunities arise to upgrade your house and enrich your lifestyle. You can personalize Kaon's appearance and meet new friends in the village. Cook meals from the ingredients you've foraged and lend a hand to villagers with various tasks.
Morikomori Life offers character customization that lets you infuse Kaon with your own personality. The game also features an open-world environment, allowing you the freedom to roam and discover delightful surprises along the way.
Currently, Morikomori Life is available on Android in Japan. If you're in the region, you can find it on the Google Play Store. There’s no official announcement yet regarding a global release.
