Modded Bloodborne PC Restoration Unveils Lost Content
The Bloodborne Magnum Opus mod, now available for PC, restores cut content, including multiple simultaneous boss encounters. While enemy functionality remains, some texture and animation issues persist.
Beyond content restoration, Magnum Opus significantly alters the original Bloodborne experience. This includes the reintroduction of weapons and armor sets, and repositioning of enemies. The accompanying video showcases several of these new boss encounters.
While a PC release of Bloodborne was nearly a reality last August, and Hidetaka Miyazaki has hinted at its possibility, no official announcement has been made. This leaves players relying on workarounds and emulators.
The recent emergence of functional PS4 emulators has dramatically shifted the landscape. Modders quickly gained access to the game and its character editor, though initial gameplay proved elusive. That hurdle has now been overcome, with online videos demonstrating Bloodborne gameplay on PC, albeit with noticeable imperfections.
