Marvel Snap’s Norse mythology update continues with the return of the iconic Deadpool’s Diner event
Marvel Snap has been sizzling lately, and it's not just because of the fiery additions from Muspelheim. The recent update, which dropped a few weeks back, brought a blast of new content including fresh faces and intriguing locations. Alongside these updates, the much-anticipated return of a fan-favorite event has kicked off, and it's now live for everyone to enjoy.
That's right, Deadpool's Diner is back in Marvel Snap and will be serving up fun until December 3rd. If you're new to this event, get ready to dive into a series of escalating challenges where you'll bet your Bubs at each table to climb the ranks. Winning at a table propels you to the next, where the *steaks* (pun intended!) get even higher. Conquer the top tier, and you'll be rewarded with the exclusive King Eitri and a unique Jane Foster variant designed by Andrea Guardino. Since this mode runs parallel to the traditional ladder matches, it's a relaxed way to experiment with quirky mechanics and have a blast.
But the heat doesn't stop there. The update also introduced Surtur, the fire giant and harbinger of Ragnarok. Surtur's card packs a punch with an ability that grants him +3 Power whenever you play a card with 10 or more Power. Building a deck around this ability promises some explosive gameplay.
Surtur isn't venturing into the Nine Realms alone; he's accompanied by a roster of new Series 5 characters, including Frigga, Malekith, Fenris Wolf, and Gorr the God Butcher. Additionally, the dwarf king Eitri will join the fray in December as a Series 4 card. Curious about how these new additions stack up? Check out our *Marvel Snap tier list* to see where they fit in the meta.
The Norse theme continues with two new locations: Valhalla and Yggdrasil. Valhalla doubles down on On Reveal abilities after turn 4, while Yggdrasil gives a +1 Power boost to all cards at a different location after each turn.
