Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown from Marvel Rivals Wiki

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown kicked off the new maps for Marvel Rivals Season 1 at the season's launch. This map is tailored for the Convoy mode, where players either escort or attempt to stop a moving vehicle as it travels across the map. It marks the third Convoy map in Rivals, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.

Set under the eerie glow of Dracula’s Blood Moon, Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown transforms New York City into a dark, thrilling arena. Key Points of Interest on this map include iconic locations from the Marvel Universe and real-world Midtown Manhattan:

  • Baxter Building
  • Grand Central Terminal
  • Stark/Avengers Tower
  • Fisk Tower
  • Ardmore’s Bookstore
  • Timely Trend

Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum

The Empire of Eternal Night version of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Santorum was added to Marvel Rivals in Season 1, uniquely hosting the Doom Match mode. In Doom Match, players engage in a free-for-all deathmatch, striving to survive and eliminate others. Those in the top half of the leaderboard at the end of the match earn wins, with the highest scorer receiving the MVP title.

The Sanctum Santorum map beautifully captures Doctor Strange’s mystical mansion, which serves as his home and headquarters. Introduced in a 1963 comic, it has since become iconic in the MCU. In Marvel Rivals, it stands as Earth’s supernatural defense hub in New York City. The map is filled with secrets, easter eggs, and supernatural elements like impossible ceilings, portals, and an infinite staircase. Players can even interact with Bats The Ghost Dog.

Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park

The Central Park map is slated for release in the latter part of Marvel Rivals Season 1. Located in Manhattan between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side, Central Park has been a staple in various Marvel properties, most notably in the 2023 Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 video game.

In Marvel Rivals, the Central Park map will feature a stylized version of Belvedere Castle, located at one of the park's highest points. This Gothic architectural gem is expected to serve as a thematic backdrop for the Empire of Eternal Night, possibly as a hideout for Dracula within New York City.

These are all the new maps introduced in Marvel Rivals Season 1, each adding unique flavor and gameplay to the Marvel universe experience.
