Marvel Halts Development on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. Shows
Marvel Television has reportedly put a hold on the development of three anticipated shows: Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. According to sources cited by Deadline, these projects were never officially greenlit and might still see the light of day, but Marvel has decided to shift its focus elsewhere.
This strategic pivot aligns with Marvel Studios' preparations for the launch of the Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. In a recent development, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming and TV, shared that the studio is considering bringing together the street-level heroes from the Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist series, collectively known as The Defenders.

Marvel Studios is now adopting a strategy of developing more shows than it ultimately produces. Brad Winderbaum emphasized this approach last year to Screen Rant, stating, "We’re really being careful about what we choose to do next."
The pause on Nova comes as a surprise, especially since just two months ago, it was reported that Ed Bernero, former showrunner of Criminal Minds, was set to write and run the show, which had been confirmed for Disney+. For more detailed insights into Nova, check out IGN's comprehensive coverage.
Strange Academy was slated to focus on a magical school established by Doctor Strange, with Wong taking on the role of headmaster. Details about Terror, Inc. remain sparse at this time.
Here's what's confirmed for the Marvel TV lineup: Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, followed by Ironheart on June 24, and Wonder Man in December. On the film front, following the release of Captain America: Brave New World, Marvel fans can look forward to Thunderbolts in May and The Fantastic Four: First Steps later this year.
