Today's reveal also introduces some special features of the set, including Summons—part of Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can summon for aid in battle (check out Summon: Shiva in the gallery). Additionally, the set brings back double-faced cards, as exemplified by Cecil's dual nature as a Dark Knight and a Redeemed Paladin.
The Final Fantasy set will boast over 100 legendary creature cards, with 55 of them being legendary borderless cards, some illustrated by fan-favorite artists from the Final Fantasy series.
This highly anticipated set will be fully draftable and Standard-legal, launching on June 13. It will also come with four preconstructed Commander decks, each themed around a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14. Each deck will contain 100 cards, featuring a blend of new Final Fantasy cards and existing cards reimagined with new Final Fantasy art.
