Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record
HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new environments, and game modes, all stimulating increased player spending.
The free availability of Harumasa, coupled with a focused promotional banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this record revenue.
Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond typical post-update trends. While player spending usually declines within a week of an update, Zenless Zone Zero maintained over $1 million in daily revenue for more than 11 consecutive days, and even exceeded $500,000 per day after two weeks.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still lags behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
