Exciting news for fans of Split Fiction—the acclaimed co-op action adventure is set to hit the big screen, according to Variety. The publication reports that multiple top Hollywood studios have been vying for the movie rights, prompting the creation of a package deal by Story Kitchen. This media company, renowned for its expertise in adapting games and other unconventional properties for film and TV, is currently bringing together the project's writers, director, and cast. The same team previously worked on the upcoming film adaptation of Hazelight Studios’ game, It Takes Two. Story Kitchen, formerly known as dj2 Entertainment, has also been behind successful projects such as the Sonic the Hedgehog films and Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. While details are scarce at this early stage, the anticipation is already building.

Adding to the buzz around Split Fiction, it was recently confirmed that the game achieved a remarkable feat by selling over two million copies within its first week of release. IGN's review praised the game as an essential co-op experience, highlighting its ability to remain fabulously fresh throughout its entire 14-hour duration.

In other news from Hazelight Studios, director Josef Fares announced earlier this week that the team is already working on their next game, keeping fans eagerly awaiting what's next from the innovative studio.
