Ned Luke, the voice behind Michael De Santa in GTA 5, has expressed his confidence in GTA 6, predicting it will generate a staggering $1.3 billion on its launch day. In an interview with the YouTube channel Fall Damage, Luke shared his excitement about the upcoming title, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of Rockstar Games' projects.

"Be patient," Luke advised fans. "It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." He highlighted that GTA 5 amassed over $800 million within its first 24 hours back in 2013, confidently stating that GTA 6 would surpass these figures. According to research from DFC Intelligence, GTA 6 is projected to sell over 40 million copies and earn $3.2 billion in its first year, with $1 billion from pre-orders alone.

Luke also discussed the potential for GTA 5 characters to appear in GTA Online and the upcoming GTA 6. While his character, Michael, has been absent from GTA Online since its inception, the other protagonists, Trevor and Franklin, have made appearances. Luke hinted at the possibility of Michael returning in a speculated final DLC for GTA Online or even making an appearance in GTA 6.

Steven Ogg, who portrayed Trevor in GTA 5, shared with ScreenRant in January 2025 his ideal scenario for his character in GTA 6, suggesting a dramatic "passing the torch" moment at the game's beginning. Luke added, "Maybe [Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be] in GTA 6, like [its online mode]. Maybe. Maybe not. You know Rockstar is not going to tell you anything. And if we say anything, you know they will not be very happy." Despite the enthusiasm from both actors, no official word has been released about the characters' involvement in GTA 6.

GTA 6 May Be At Its Testing Phase

Former Rockstar Games animator Mike York suggested that GTA 6 might be in its in-house testing phase. In a now-deleted video interview with YouTuber Kiwi Talkz, as reported by GamesRadar, York emphasized the game's unique and unpredictable nature. "There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid in his basement tries it, you know? You really don't," he remarked.

York believes that the development team is currently fine-tuning the game, adding final touches and extras. He speculates that the game is already playable and that numerous testers may have experienced it. Since Rockstar Games unveiled the first trailer for GTA 6 in December 2023, no further details have been shared. A Fall 2025 release was hinted at by Take-Two Interactive's Financial Report in 2024, but an official release date remains unconfirmed.
